Future M.O.L.D.S Communities held a BikeFit project at GMCL Lady Helen Seymour House in Plaistow to engage the residents in participating in the 10 week project.
Before the project took place, FMC alongside the young people, got maintenance in to check the bikes were in working order and not a risk to participants.
They checked:
Week 1 - FMC were introduced to the young people and run them through a work shop which explained the rules and regulations for riding a bike in the street and in the road.
Week 2 – Bike safety check, explore route in pairs – Stratford, bike ride & evaluation
Week 3 – Bike safety check, explore map in small groups – Beckon, bike ride & evaluation
Week 4 – Bike safety check, plan route (individual) – bike ride & evaluation YP planned route
Week 5 – Bike safety check, plan route & bike ride & evaluation – YP planned route & group work on evaluation & project development
