I would like to say a massive thank you to Future M.O.L.D.S Communities for putting me forward for the Boxing Tutor training. It was amazing and I had so much fun and learnt new skills, such as bringing in games to adapt for Subwize young people. I have around 5 young boys so far who attend boxing sessions on Mondays at the Vibe, where I facilitate. The training boosted my confidence and I feel more competent in what I am teaching, although I still feel I can improve. The aim is for me to train young people up to a high standard to gain boxing awards. I don't feel that I am the typical boxing type, however, I will put my heart and soul into this project, laughter and enjoyment is the key. I call it boxing for boys and BoxFit for girls, to adapt to the different audience when promoting. My aim is to encourage and work with young people between 11 and 21 years, boys and girls, that are misusing substances such as alcohol, drugs and legal highs, to give them a focus and sense of belonging in a safe environment where they can boost their confidence, self-esteem, to change, develop, grow and live. Also prevention work to encourage young people to aim high and stay on track in reaching qualifications and gaining meaningful employment. This is my vision.
