The Good Youth Forum is a group of young people that have set a group so we can make a positive change to the community and tackle any issue young people face in their community and to get the issues addressed.
The youth forum are a group of young people that have come together as part as a forum to tackle any issues, concerns within the community. Issues we have raised so far within the forum:
The BoxFit Project is a service which uses boxercise, a non contact form of boxing, as a tool to address social issues. The BoxFit project is a physical fitness session whereby issues such as sexual health, healthy living, teen pregnancy and exploring gender roles can all be incorporated. Service users will improve their physical fitness, knowledge, enhance skills, builds self esteem & confidence as well increase social networks.
The job club is a drop in service that supports 16-25yrs old with employment and training. The project provides Level 1 qualifications in Employability Skills and Personal & Social Development to those who wish to participate. For those who do not, we support them to find employment or education and training as required by the individual. The informal design of the project enables us to meet a wide diversity of needs and in doing so helps us to identify and address barriers. The projects are supported by the Evening Standard dispossessed Fund and Awards For All.
Future M.O.L.D.S. Communities (FMC) are a social enterprise. We aim to identify and challenge social injustice and help others do the same. We are dedicated to reducing those who are not in employment, education or training and providing free positive activities within Barking & Dagenham for young people and support services for adults.
