Councillor Lynda Rice, Cabinet Member for Equality & Diversity, is proud to present another packed month of events to celebrate Black History Month in Barking & Dagenham – even in these times of social distancing.
Black History Month runs throughout the month of October.
Itβs designed to celebrate the culture, history and achievements that Black African and Caribbean people have brought to our country.
The rich cultures and traditions of the Black community here in the Britain have for many years contributed to the diversity of our country and is a key part of what makes Britain so unique.
As a part of Black History Month a number of events are held across Barking and Dagenham.
